Staying in Touch

Stay in Touch with former Camp Oneka friends

Phone Calls

Campers are not permitted to make or receive phone calls or use cell phones or personal email while at camp. The exception to this is on the camper’s birthday, when she can receive a birthday call from her family. Parents may also speak to their camper if there is an emergency or special circumstance. Parents are invited to call camp and speak to the directors or their daughter’s counselor if they want to check in or have a concern.

Emails and Bunk Replies

Parents may sign up with our email provider, Bunk1, and send emails to their camper. The emails are printed out each day and given to the camper with the regular mail. Along with emails to camp, the campers can reply back to parents using Bunk Replies. These handwritten replies are faxed back to parents each day.

Letters and Packages

A letter from home can make a camper’s day! We encourage lots of letter writing, and the occasional package from home is a nice treat. Reminder – please do not send any food, candy, or gum in a package to campers. Use the camp summer address for all letters and packages. Mail is picked up and delivered to camp daily.

A letter home from camp is the “ticket” each girl brings to Sunday night supper each week. These are mailed out Monday morning.
