In 2013 Kevin and Becky (Dohner) Mackrell took over many of the daily operational responsibilities at Camp Oneka, and will continue on as Directors in 2015.
Becky is a former camper, archery and volleyball counselor, LC mom, row head, and was an assistant director for three years. Becky is a full time Latin teacher at Haverford High School with a dual cerificate in Social Studies. She is also the Varsity Swimming coach at the Agnes Irwin School.
Kevin developed a love of camping as a camp counselor at Camp Cayuga in Honesdale, Pennsylvania. Since 2010 he has helped out behind the scenes at Oneka by putting in and taking out the H-Dock and helping out with other off season projects. The summer of 2012 he spent most weekends at camp, joining in with camp activities: making sandwiches for dinner on the dock, preparing vehicles for trips, and doing general maintenance. As of 2013 he was a full time Camp Director at Camp. Kevin has held different positions in the pharmaceutical industry for over 18 years including his last position as the Packaging Operations Manager for Sanofi in Malvern, PA.
Summer camp has been a large part of the Dohners' activities over the years. Before coming to Oneka, they had worked together for over eighteen years in three different camps, Boy Scouts, YMCA, and day camp.
